I would like to wish you a warm welcome back to Turvey Primary School. I hope you have had a lovely summer and are ready to get back into a routine. Please can a parent/carer sign their child’s planner over the weekend for it to be checked on a Monday – thank you.

Autumn Topics: We are Britain

Our topic this term is ‘We are Britain’.  During the first half term, children will identify a number of kings and queens and learn about them as a monarch and their reigning history. The children will discuss the differences between the past kings and queens in comparison to our current King Charles III. As we look at the fascinating country we live in, we will explore the human and physical features, counties, cities and rivers. In the second half of the term, we will focus on the Changing Role of Women. We will discover the overview in which women have been oppressed and the ways in which they have fought for equality, including the militant campaigns of the sufragettes and second-wave feminism of the 1970s.
